Well, 4x4ing is fun, no? I think so! Nothing is better than taking a
solid all terrain vehicle through places no one should go at high
speeds, dirt trucking all the way into wilderness and enjoy creation for
what is it. Now, put yourself inside a small white '97 Toyota Corolla
and on a dirt road that would steer many 4x4 drivers away from the
massive pot hole and craters that cover the road like "zits on a
tween". Then fill that Corolla with people and supplies and add in very
aggressive oncoming traffic transporting prisoners to the penitentiary,
barreling through at 70–80 km/h. Let's just say there was a lot of
prayer and holding of breaths in desperate attempts to make the car
slimmer as we passed the traffic clearing by mere centimeters.
Some of the outreaches we do are very far away. This little adventure
mentioned here took fifty-five minutes to drive to though it's closer in
distance to than that of downtown Vancouver to my home off Commercial
Drive (approx. fifteen minutes). The road is just that rough. When I
get home I will have to take some of you dirt trucking Malawi style. My
survival skills as a driver have in the few weeks I’ve been here
improved greatly. By the time I get home I’m sure I’ll be a certified
Bond-style stunt driver.
To be clear...this is NOT what I drive, but what I would like to drive! |
