Jason Tischer
Hi, good to meet you, whoever you are. I'm a Christian, and I am from Vancouver, BC, Canada. Twenty-two years the earth has been at my mercy. I'm an EAST VAN kid. If you're not from Vancouver you won't understand what that means, but you will never forget East Vancouver once you been around it once or twice. It is its own kind of special.
I am a Occupational/Physical Therapy Assistant and I work (in Vancouver) as a Casual Rehab Assistant for Vancouver Coastal Health.
Broadway Church is my home. I have been attending since I was 6 years old. At the age of 14 God called me into full time ministry. At Broadway I work with Youth Church and have been a leader there for 6 years. God has called me to be a pastor and a missionary. In Vancouver at my job I am an Urban Missionary. Every day I get to witness to people from all walks of life on their worst day ever. It is so good to be given a chance to do this daily. There is no greater satisfaction than doing God's work, to seek and save the lost.
In last year I have felt God calling me into Missions - to be a Global Worker in Malawi. As a child I said to God, "I'll do anything but this. I'm never becoming a missionary!" I love how God turns our ideas about our lives upside down more often than not. I have no idea what to expect out of this. I am going to be giving humanitarian aid, but that's not why I'm going. I am going because God said, "Go." For me that is more than enough.
I'm so excited for what God has in store!
